I like AMD because of it's raw power for number crunching, but intel is better at your general multi-window/multi-tasking environment. I think I may have killed the motherboard at the very least but am wondering if anyone else has seen this before and if there may be an easy fix...or do Or have missed some setting that I can tweak to make work?

What was installed was a customized version of Windows prepared by the computer manufacturer with drivers for the hardware in your computer and perhaps some bundled utilities. Ah the joys.
