i have noticed that in the load screen the monitor runs at 60hz and when it stops displaying its randomly increases to 75hz. I had to restart the computer in safe mode (with network connections) and reloaded the video card driver. This happens to me as well but never at a consistent rate. That improved the speed and the time needed to boot up. When I turn the pc on the monitor goes blank after about a second or two. After I reinstalled my system, I had the same problem as you guys all have. It is a laptop so mucking around the with graphics card isn't an option either. I actaully replaced the old ones with new ones. I had rebooted the computer several times without the monitor attached.
